The innovative BUBLON-process

"Don't keep forever on the public road, going only where others have gone."

> Alexander Graham Bell, british inventor, 1847-1922

BUBLON stands for an optimized process for the manufacture of a purely natural lightweight filler and insulating material. The base material for this is perlite for example which occurs naturally in large quantities worldwide and has a special characteristic:
When heated to over 800°, perlite that has been
ground to sand becomes highly viscous, the water within it evaporates and as a result the volume of the perlite grain multiplies to 20 times its original size. This process is comparable to the production of popcorn thus giving it the name "perlite popcorn".

“BUBLON popcorn" with its closed surface, dimensional stability and considerably reduced water offer significant advantages compared to the product produced by means of the existing process.

From an environmental point of view, BUBLON is impressive all round:
  • Base material and expanded product 100% natural
  • Reduced CO2 emission due to minimized energy consumption
  • 100 percent recycling of the expanded perlite
  • No hot, dust-laden exhaust gases

BUBLON can be used for a wide range of applications:
  • Insulating fills and wall insulation in the construction industry
  • Panels for drywall construction
  • Manufacture of ready-mixed mortars
  • New products in the decorative building sector
  • Fire protection industry
  • Noise control industry
  • Insulating fills in refrigeration engineering
  • Additive for potting compost, special toothpastes, etc.
  • Insulation for the high-temperature sector
  • Exterior wall insulation
